Lead us not into temptation, the misconception of this verse is that to be tempted is to be tried to prove ourselves and growing in faith, but it is human nature to be tempted. Just as Christ was tempted in wilderness we too must resist our temptations as they come to us to prove our faith and devotion, knowing that God wouldnt try us in anything that we couldnt face.
